Press Kit
Dungeon Alchemist is a mapmaking application for tabletop RPG's that enables you to make amazing, high-quality maps in seconds! Players pick a map size, choose a theme, draw some shapes and Dungeon Alchemist will automatically populate the map with walls, lights, doors, windows and objects. Exporting maps for print can be done in seconds, and integration with VTTs is seamless.
History
Halfway through 2020, we thought the creation of maps for fantasy games left a lot of room for improvement, with existing maps being poor quality, unprintable and/or unaffordable for amateur players.
Wim De Hert and Karel Crombecq ran a Kickstarter campaign to fund the concept of a mapmaking application that uses procedural algorithms to aid dungeon masters, and promptly raised €2.4 million, making it one of the most funded boardgame Kickstarter projects of all time. After a year of development and a beta with 26K users, we’re ready to release a version to the general public.
